Will insurace ever pay for a breast reduction?
I have back problems due to a car accident, and i’m pretty small but wear DD bras. I have constant back trouble…and would love to have a breast reduction after my next child is born. Are there any instances when insurance will pay, and if so, what are they?
Some will pay if the doctor recommends it due to back problems or any other problems associated with them.
not sure, but you can start with going to the local plastic surgeons in your area and asking if they would put it into the insurance company as a needed reduction.. You may have to start with your primary physician to get a referrall..
every insurance company has different criteria. you would need to make a consultation appointment with a plastic surgeon. she or he will take pictures, ask you some questions, then submit it to your insurance company for approval.
