What are “nominal facility fees” when getting breast implants?
I was reading about the cost of breast implants in Alabama at this cosmetic surgery facility and it says this:
“The entire breast augmentation procedure takes about one hour to complete at our Birmingham, Alabama facility. Cost: $2,500 + nominal facility fee.”
What does that mean and how much does “nominal facility fees” cost usually?
the fee’s are going to vary. basically the facility (hospital or op facility) will charge the surgeon a set amount to use their place.
I am a plastic surgeon in Utah. Nominal fee’s could vary significantly. My fee for breast augmentation is $4100 for saline which includes everything. The going rate in Alabama could possibly be a little less but I doubt much. Please just be sure to see a board certified plastic surgeon, there are several in Birmingham.
