What do you wear during breast augmentation surgery?
I’m thinking about having breast implants. This is completely random, but what do you wear during the surgery? Obviously my chest will have to be exposed, but can you wear underwear…or pants?

What to Expect During a Breast Surgery Consultation
When you book an appointment for a consultation with Honolulu’s best plastic surgeon, it is extremely important that you are open and honest during your assessment. Both the success, as well as the safety of the breast augmentation, depends upon your honesty and frankness.
Questions You Will Be Asked
The plastic surgeon will ask you, the prospective patient, a series of questions related to your overall health, your lifestyle, and the hopes you have for the surgery. You need to come to the appointment prepared to discuss your reason(s) for wanting to undergo the surgery, as well as your expectations and what you desire the outcome to be.
Past Medical History
Your past medical history is relevant when you visit the Hawaii Plastic Surgery Clinic. Also relevant is any drug allergies you are aware of, as well as what medications you have taken in the past and the ones you presently take. Tell the doctor the names of the prescription drugs, as well as over-the-counter drugs, and even vitamins and herbal supplements. Drug interactions are an important element the surgeon needs to know about, as they could have an impact on your surgery. Keep in mind that plastic surgery carries as many possible risks as any other type of surgery. Even the smallest details regarding your health can be vital, and thus, you should speak candidly with the Honolulu plastic surgeon.
Lifestyle Choices
What type of lifestyle do you live? Tell the surgeon what your eating habits are, as well as whether or not you exercise on a regular basis. If you smoke or drink, this is important information for the surgeon to understand in considering your breast implants. Smokers have a slower rate of healing than non- smokers, and they may have special considerations for the Honolulu plastic surgeon to take into account. Tell the surgeon candidly how much you drink and smoke. If you take user drugs, let him know.
Other Necessary Information
During your breast augmentation consultation, you need to tell the plastic surgeon about any past surgeries you have undergone. If there is a family history of breast cancer, whether on your mother or father’s side, tell your Honolulu plastic surgeon. The results of any biopsies or mammograms should be disclosed as well. Anything you feel may be relevant to your health is worth informing the doctor about when it comes to your breast implants.
Other Things the Surgeon Might Do
There are a variety of other things a plastic surgeon may ask or perform during the breast surgery consultation. These include:
-Evaluate your health in a general sense, as well as any pre-existing health conditions you have and the risk factors unique to you.
-Examine your breasts carefully and while so doing, take measurements of the size, shape and the quality of your skin.
-Snap photos to be included with your medical record.
-Discuss what options you have and recommend what kind of treatment would be best suited to you.
-Make you aware of the likely outcomes of the breast surgery, including risks and possible complications.
-Explain how anesthesia will be used during the breast augmentation surgery.
Enjoying a high rate of success in breast augmentation means your complete honesty and candor with your Honolulu plastic surgeon. The more your breast implant plastic surgeon knows about your health and lifestyle, the better the results will be for your breast augmentation.
