What kind of doctor do I see to get a breast reduction?

I know it sounds silly but I am not sure who to talk to about a breast reduction, is it a plastic surgeon?

I am 39 years old and have decided to change the size of my 38G’s. I want a breast reduction. Where do I start? What type of doctor do I go to to have the surgery? What should I expect during surgery and afterwards?

Is a doctor supposed to charge a seperate fee for a breast lift even after the insurance paid for a reduction?

My insurance paid for a breast reduction but my doctor said I would have to pay an additional fee for a breast lift. The fee is $2000. Otherwise I would have a saggy breast reduction (that is what the insurance pay for- a simple reduction). Is this true? and is the breast lift for the additional fee worth it?

I am considering breast reduction surgery as the weight of my breasts are killer on my back. I was wondering what people’s experiences when going to their regular physicians was? I’m hoping to get this run through my health insurance being that’s its a very expensive procedure and I feel like it’s medically necessary.

Anyway, I was just wondering about any hurdles anyone went through to get this done and any details about the experience itself.

what kind of doctor do I see for pain in my chest 5 years after breast surgery?

Five years ago I had breast reduction surgery and have had pain on my left side under my breast ever since. At first it was quite severe and my primary care physician said it was ” just nerve damage not to worry it will go away”. Now five years later it is still there but not as severe. However, when I do anything that involves really using that muscle ; I get sharp pains across my chest and cannot use my arm or the pain is too great. It’s affecting my ability to perform my job and I have to do something.
