MDIPA insurance coverage for breast reduction?
Has anybody here gotten a breast reduction covered under MDIPA? If so, do you know if they have a minimum tissue removal requirement? I know some insurance companies require a certain amount of tissue to be removed for a reduction to be deemed “medically necessary.”
Does MDIPA have this policy? If so, how much needs to be removed?
It really all depends. Different companies have different policies with the insurance company, so you’d really have to ask your insurance company to see what is up.
My ins had a minimum of 600g to be removed total. I had over 2000 grams removed!
