Insurance cover breast augmentation after reduction?
My mom has had breast cancer, giving me a chance of having it as well. I know if you are diagnosed with the cancer and have it removed insurance will cover the augmentation. Will insurance cover a breast reduction to reduce the chances of me getting it, and will it cover a breast augmentation later on?
A breast reduction will not provide any guarantee you will not get breast cancer. This is not a preventative treatment in any way.

a reduction is NOT a preventative method. so no, a breast reduction will not be covered. a masectomy will be covered, but you wouldn’t want to do that if you don’t have breast cancer.
