someone informed me that there was a 6 month waiting period for the breast augmentation that i had done before they would let me join the navy. So does anyone know if my plastic surgeon wrote me a letter saying that i was fit for full duty if the meps doctor would waive the surgery so that i could go in early instead of waiting 6 months.
possibly but the six month waiting period may be true.
my husabnd says its great that yo had flotation devices installed, so you won’t drown, no really folks, many people in the army say they are depressed and get their breasts enlarged for free, I don;t see why anyone would have a problem with your chest.
it has to be fully healed, you need you implants to act as a flotation device since you are joining the navy!
“Women” have a 1 in 3 chance of being sexually assaulted, by your own troops! and you want to add “fuel to the fire” with an augmentation? That is certainly tempting the fates, no??
as answered before, no your surgeon writing a note will do nothing. he has NO idea what physical strain your body will be under while in the military.
there is no getting around the six month waiting period. the regs are there for a reason, they are not there for you to weasel out of.
Your recruiter should have the answer.
I’m the one who answered that question and provided the medical standard. You must wait the six months. They don’t grant waivers for shortened post-operative periods.
