how long does it for hematoma to heal up after breast reduction?
i had a breast reduction 4weeks ago, and suddenly sunday they got ,very sore, went an got them checked at hospital yesterday she said it was a hematoma and that it would get better by its self, can anyone let me know what i can do myself to help speed up getting them better. thanks denise
Hematoma’s usually are a build up of blood, or other mixtures of the sort. You can always ask them to puncture it, and drain the extra fluid, which will make it smaller, immediately, but leave some very very very minor scarring. Or you can get antibiotics, such as tetracycline, but i recommend amoxicillin to knock out the hematoma. That is, only if it is caused by an infectious agent.
