How expensive is breast reduction surgery?
I’m 5′ 5″ and weigh 147 right now. My breasts are larger than DDD but I squeeze into DDD bras because that’s all I can find. I talked to my doctor about reduction surgery and he is against it. He told me to lose 20 lbs first. I’ve lost over 20 lbs already and my breasts haven’t gone down AT ALL. How expensive is surgery and does health insurance cover it?

Expensive if you want a good job done. I’ve had two ex girlfriends who had the procedure done. Both times it was messed up. One lost all feeling in her breasts permanently. The other got hyper sensitivity causing her great pain.
Hi – it is odd that your breasts have not got smaller after losing 20lbs. If you are still overweight, you will need to lose the excess.
Breast reduction is horrible. It is an invasive surgery that always leaves thick, unpleasant scars AND loss of sensation in the nipples and on the scars themselves.
Dressed, you will look fine. Undressed, not so fine. It is obvious what has been done, even years later.
You could easily lose another 20lbs, judging from the height/weight figures you have given.
And no, Health Insurance will not cover this cosmetic surgery. Only women who have agonising long-term debillitating back problems MIGHT get away with Health Insurance cover.
Good luck.
It is really hard to find large cup bras, but when you get one that fits well it does make a huge difference.
