do doctors do a breast reduction and a breast lift at the same time?
I want to reduce my breast size, but also have them lifted. Can a doctor do both procedures at once, or do I have to go a second time?

For the purpose of not having you under general anesthesia and another hospital charge I would think it would be more practical to do both at the same time. There are people who are scheduled to have surgery for one thing and have another dr. come in during surgery to do the second part of surgery. Example… Woman goes in for a hysterectomy and also has her appendix out at the same time. Removing the appendix doesn’t always happen but if it has caused problems in the past the dr. may opt to take it out as well.
They do them together if the situation calls for it.
Think of before and after pics you’ve seen. They don’t just take the filling out and leave it hanging like a tennis ball in a sock, you know?

In order to reduce breast size skin and breast tissue are removed from the underside of the breast, which provides lift. Breast lift can be done without reduction, but reduction always provides lift. My breast reduction was the best thing I ever did.
the way a breast reduction is done, a lift is naturally part of the process. the cut around the nipple, down the middle of the breast and underneath. breast tissue is removed, then the breast is sewed back up. since everything is taken out from underneath, it is like a lift.
i had a breast reduction in oct 08 and mine are still perky.
