can you successfully pump/breastfeed if you have had a breast lift?
I had breast lift surgery 6 months before I found out I was pregnant.although i healed/still healing quit well I have a few concerns.
(the plastic surgeon moved back to england so I cannot ask her)
I had a breast lift/areola reduction.Would i still be able to lactate and be able to feed the baby?
I am just looking for people who might have been in the same boat.
Breastfeeding after breast lift surgery is absolutely possible. In most cases, there is no damage to ducts and nerves since only skin is removed. However, any surgery to the breast can potentially cause nerve and duct damage, there is still a possibility that a mother could experience reduced milk production with at least her first baby. However, every drop of milk is tremendously beneficial for your baby and there are many ways to increase milk production. Just by stimulation.
