Can i have a breast reduction at the age of 15?
i’m 15 years old, and i am seriously considering a breast reduction. i hate my boobs, currently a size 32GG. i can’t buy the clothes i want because they won’t fit me round the bust, and i hate it – it really upsets me and makes me feel down. i feel like a freak of nature, because everyone else my age can wear pretty bras and can go into any shop to buy, whereas i have to go to shops like bravisimo and i just have to take what i get.
whats the youngest age that i could get a reduction?

usually 18 but if its really a health problem
I’m sure you can, but you may have to have a parent with you. Plus you have to lose a certain amount of weight before the surgery.
Do alot of research before getting it done.
the bigger the better
I’m not sure. You should talk to your mother and doctor about it, babe.
I don’t think many doctors would agree. Technically you’re still growing, so that could pose for health problems in the future if you did go through with it. I’d say maybe 17 at the youngest, but I suggest you talk it through with a doctor or parent even.
you will just have to go see a plastic surgeon that specializes in that field and see what they say. I think they will since you are that size but then again you are not through growing yet.
so you need to get a professional opinion.
i think you can get one at age 16.
If there is a medical reason then yes, you can. I am sure you are having back problems. I would ask your doctor about it.
If it’s causing physical problems a doctor would do it regardless of age.
i’m sure you could get it now considering how large they are but you need to speak to your doctor, parents and insurance company if you have insurance to see if they will pay for it at your age
You and your parents should go for a free consultation with a reputable, certified plastic surgeon and find out their opinion on having this surgery at your age. If it is causing other medical problems, they might do it at your age.
I think you can get it done at any age but you need parental consent and lots of money. But don’t do that most girls wish their boobs were as big as yours. And there are chances of something going wrong as well.
No you aren’t old enough yet. Your boobs aren’t even fully developed yet! Do you know how they do one? They cut your nipples off, cut your boobs open all the way across and all the way down, then they take out tissue and sew your nipples back on. Does that really sound like something you want to go through because you can’t find pretty bras? Get real!
between 18-20
they wont do any surgery until u r finished puberty
anything bigger than DD is very large, and from your band size it seems you’re thin otherwise, so usually not, but with parental permission and considering being that large cup-wise and that small band-wise I think most doctors will make an exception for you. generally you have to be 18 though.
Not only can you not “buy pretty bras” but this extra weight is going to strain other parts of your body. Have your mother set up an appointment with a doctor you both trust. I’m not sure if there is a “growth” age limiting the breast reduction, but you can get this done with parental consent. I knew a woman once who was large breasted. She was in constant back pain. Unfortunately, her insurance didn’t cover breast reduction. The older she gets, the more difficult it is for her.
you can get a reduction at any age. i just had one on october 20th. my nurse in the hospital told me her sister had once twice one at 16 and then another one at age 26 because she was still growing. i would suggest you wait until you are at least 18 when puberty plateaus. but for now, make a consultation appt with a plastic surgeon and get their advice. i went from a 32E to C. i’m still in a little pain but i am very happy with my decision.
Hello,
This is debatable as different surgeons have different policies. Operating on younger patients like yourself runs a higher risk of needing to do it again as the breasts sometimes aren’t finished growing. If your weight is stable, you may be able to find a surgeon who will agree to do the operation. This is something to discuss with your parents if you haven’t done so already.

YES you can. Most PS’s want you to wait a few years, but if you have severe back pain affecting your daily activities they can and will do it. I know many girls that age and younger that get breast reductions.

You need to wait until you are past puberty. One of the problems with breast reduction surgery is that the breasts can come back. Breast reduction surgery is basically the removal of fatty tissue and the realignment of the nipples on the breast to make them look “natural”. The body can replace the removed fatty tissue. So, if you can, I would wait until you are sure your breasts have stopped growing. I understand that you hate them and that they cause problems in clothing choice and could cause health issues, but this is a surgery that you want to do only once…
