Breast augmentation or breast enhancement surgery is the common procedure to enhance the size and shape of women’s breasts. Silicone or saline-filled implants are the materials used to make the breasts appear bigger and fuller. Although surgery is a common procedure to help women who want bigger bust size, women should know the trouble with breast augmentation before subjecting themselves under the knife.
Like any other surgery, breast enhancement surgery is also accompanied by a lot risks. If you are thinking of subjecting yourself under the knife to put an end to the embarrassment and insecurities of having small breasts, it can be very helpful to know the trouble with breast augmentation before making a decision.
One major trouble with breast augmentation is the life span and durability of the implants. Common implants used are silicone and saline-filled implants. Implants leakage and rupture are two common problems of breast implants that can put a person’s health in danger. Over time when the implant is getting older, leakage or rupture may happen.
The trouble with breast augmentation is that it is an invasive procedure that may result to different complications and health risks. There is a foreign material (implants) inside the body than can create a threat to the physical and mental health of women. There are reports that women who have implants are more likely to have health and breasts issues compared to those without implants.
It is a requirement for women with or without implants to have a regular breast exams and tests. Mammography is a common procedure to check the health of women’s breast and can be very helpful in the early detection of breast cancer. The trouble with breast augmentation is that the implants can interfere with the accuracy and performance of mammography in detecting breast cancer.
Although enhancing your breast size can boost your self-confidence and it can take away your insecurities, it is not worth it to put your health at risk just to have bigger and fuller breasts.
