my mom got breast cncer when i was about 11 or 12 (im 17 now) she told me ” I WILL not let cancer beat me alex” the doctors gave her 6 months and she fought it as hard as she could and she is still alive god must be watching out for her.
I have a prostate cancer bracelet, it is blue and white, it’s pretty! (I don’t think that you usually hear the words “pretty” and “prostate” in the same sentence…?)
You’re missing 2 points.. 1) Pancreatic cancer is not “as” palpable. 2) If people are ignorant/stupid enough to only feel aware of breast cancer does that mean that we should focus our resources in an “unwarare” direction of some other disease which will eventually lead to a dead end in which no one will get helped instead of focusing on this little thing that people are aware of and may be able to do something about. Just because you had an epiphany doesn’t mean others will have one too.
“I don’t know if you noticed, but men can have breast cancer as well.” So true, my uncle on my moms side had breast cancer, and then on my dads side, I had a cousin who had testicular cancer. Love this video, should definitely have more views than what it has.

Frankly I think you’re over thinking it a wee bit. They advertise what appeals to the general public, with slogans that have to do with boobies. While you see it as disguising, others will think of it at a successful business strategy. Because, while I do agree its fairly sad that this is the extent we must go to to be heard, I appreciate that at least the “false” (exaggerated) propaganda is getting attention for a positive cause. As long as its for a good cause, why complain?
I thought this was incredibly interesting. I think she has a point.
@UncleArti it has to do with relative cellular activity. If I’m stating this correctly, the adipose (et al.) cells in female breast tissue are more active than in males. When a tumor metastasizes that’s when it can break into the lymph system, which is bad because then it can spread elsewhere through the lymph system. Anyone can get cancer anywhere theoretically, it’s a question of risk factors. (another ex: overeaters are more at risk for cancer in the GI tract). Yeah… Bio student out!
I Loved your opinions on this!
why dan broke up with U???
@StrummingSally WOAH!!! sally geez, spicy girl right there. lol
awesome awesome video, danielle
You are brilliant.
Where have you gone btw ages since you made a vid
Great video! Loved the ideas.
Although it sounded like you were about to cry in the video…sorry about your voice!
@Sally- Thank you for enlightening me Sally about Breast Cancer in men.
When I first saw the title of this video, I thought it was going to be some heartless bullshit or some failed attempt at irony and I would end up hating it, then I watched the video and I was very impressed by how not bullshit/heartless/attempt-at-being-ironic this video was. Thumbs up, and I present you with an internetz!
@hukiworld yes they can. Breast cancer is mostly affecting lymphatic glands in your “breast area” and those are present in every human being. surely it’s not that common that men get breast cancer but it’s possible. dunno why it’s less common, I just know that lymphatic stuff.
Show Us Your Breasts !!!
Man can get Breast Cancer too? WTH! Really?
what happened to you? Busy at school? Well, at any rate, just sayin’ I really enjoy your rants etc lol
Wow, I totally agree with you. I feel like it’s just a big money maker for companies. Going around wearing a pink shirt or bracelet is going to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to stop people from being diagnosed with it. I’d rather donate straight to an organization than buy something pink and act like I’ve actually made a difference.
the only thing you ever hear about these day’s is breast cancer. and it’s not like it’s the hardest cancer to treat. what about pancreatic cancer that kills in months.
as i watched this video there was an ad for pink breast cancer gear
what about the idea of preventing breast cancer in the first place? hmmmm
